Florijan Bašić

Executive Director

Florijan is executive director in the Investors support sector, where he works on the project development and investment consulting for private sector companies. He oversees the project financing solutions available through European and national sources, project preparation, and business relationship management with private sector clients.

As an expert with more than 5 years of experience in project preparation co-financed by the European Structural and Investment Fund and national funds in the Republic of Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, he has relevant knowledge on state aid, project cycle management (PCM) and ESI Funds operating structure and stakeholders, financial instruments and state aid and de minimis. During his work experience so far, he spearheaded the preparation process of more than 30 projects in the food, metal processing, wood processing, construction, and other manufacturing industries, and for the ICT sector as well, which provided investors with grants totaling just under 40 million Euro. He has also gained experience in developing business plans, investment studies and feasibility studies with cost-benefit analysis (FSCBA) for both the private and public sector. Additionally, he is a lecturer on several courses at the postgraduate university studies at the University of Zagreb.

He completed his graduate studies in Political science at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb. Additional specialization was undertaken at the two-year postgraduate university specialist programme “Adaptation to the European Union: project management and use of EU funds and programmes”, in the segment of state aid and investment projects preparation. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the postgraduate doctorate programme of the University of Zagreb. He has full professional proficiency in English and German.
